Jacob and I wandered over to the park while Michael was at a class yesterday.
I had my camera out and took a snapshot of Jacob while he was squirrel hunting. He desperately wanted to take a picture of a squirrel with his iPod.
Looking at the photo makes me consider our significance. Look at that big ole tree and look at my little boy. It would seem like one tiny person is nothing compared to the greatness of that tree that has stood the test of time. But looks are deceiving. We matter so greatly that Christ died for us.
As I looked for a verse for my picture, I finally found one I liked. It took longer than usual this time. This verse is about a tree, but not really.
Are you a tree that produces good fruit? Are you living a life that shows God's love? Stop and consider your day to day life and see where you can make this world a better place. Don't let your life be insignificant.
The ax is ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. ~ Matthew 3:10
